Must be a Bible-believing, born-again Christian who is continually seeking to grow and develop in your relationship with the Lord, with a sincere desire to serve and minister to these children entrusted to our care. You must be a regular adherent or member of Hastings Park Bible Church for at least the last six months. If you are working on-site during the week of VBS you will need to have completed the Plan to Protect ® training from Hastings Park Bible Church and acquire a Vulnerable Sector Police Check for the church (they are good for 3 years)if you are 21 or older. We will provide you with an Organization Letter for you to submit to your local city or OPP police department where you reside. In most cases, the letter will provide you with the Police Check at no cost, but if you are required to pay for the paperwork please speak to Gail Stanley regarding reimbursement. Most of it can be done online now, and if you need assistance with that please let me know.
If you have not previously completed the "Application for Working with our Children/Youth Ministries" you must complete that and return it to Gail Stanley as part of the Plan to Protect ® training.
If you are under 18 you will be required to attend a Plan to Protect ® training designed for YOUTH. You will need to attend VBS Training and planning meetings (as they apply to you.)
