Take kids deep into an amazing undersea adventure where they’ll experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God. At Scuba VBS, kids will be immersed in the Word and discover what living water is really all about!
DVBC's Scuba VBS is for ages 4 to entering 5th grade.
We offer 3 separate VBS programs. There are volunteer opportunities for all ages going into 6th grade and older.
For ages 4 - going into kindergarten, we have crews of 4 which rotate through their own age appropriate stations (Our NEW Sticky Scripture rotation, Deep Bible Adventures, Imagination Station, Reef Rec and Tidal Treats).
For kids going into 1st grade - going into 3rd grade, we place kids in crews of 5 with mixed ages and sexes. Each crew has a crew leader and potentially a co-crew leader or helper as well. Crews rotate through stations, where the station leaders do the teaching/guiding.
Lastly, for our kids going into 4th or 5th grade, we have VBX - a high energy program led by our youth leaders.
Please note: NEW THIS YEAR! Our going into 6th graders are now a part of our youth program at DVBC, therefore these kids will no longer be participants in our VBS program, but will have the opportunity to volunteer. With this change, we've made VBX available for our going into 4th and 5th graders! Also new, our Preschool crews will have their own opening Sing & Play Splash and closing Fin-tastic Finale located within our Preschool Rotations, all in our Kidz Building (Building B) and will not be a part of our Elementary and VBX opening/closing. We've found that the volume and darkness of the opening/closing in the Great Room can be overwhelming for our 4's - going into Kindergarteners.
We offer childcare for nursery - 3 year olds for our adult volunteer's children only. We must have a parent volunteering on campus to enroll a child under the age of 3.
Lastly, there is a said rule for scuba diving - NO ONE DIVES ALONE. This year at Scuba VBS, take advantage of the opportunity to be someone's dive buddy! Invite a friend that's never been to DVBC's VBS, and they can accompany you for FREE!
At Scuba VBS, we will all be exploring what it means to have a friendship with a real, loving, trustworthy God-a friendship that lasts forever! It's our prayer that Scuba VBS will immerse EVERYONE in a deeper, richer relationship with Jesus.
