We are thrilled to have your child/children joining us for Wake Forest Baptist Church’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) the week of June 21st through June 24th.  It promises to be a week full of excitement as your child(ren) learns what it means to be “Created by God, Built for a Purpose”. The kids will be actively engaged as they discover that God made them, God is for them, God is with them, God loves them, and that God made them for a reason!  Together,  we will learn these things through Songs, Bible stories, Imagination Station (Science/Crafts), and Games.  Below are some important details to note before your child arrives.

  • DROP OFF AND PICK UP: Your child’s crew will meet in the Sanctuary of the church. (Please note: Both PreK and elementary age children will check in at the Sanctuary.) Please escort your child into the building each evening and sign in with the leader; doors will open at 5:50 p.m. for a 6:00 pm sharp start time.  You may pick up your child from the same location at 8:00 p.m.  If someone other than the drop-off parent needs to pick up your child, notify the leader and indicate it on the sign-in sheet.
  • DRESS: Due to the active nature of VBS, we ask that you dress your child comfortably and in closed-toe shoes. We encourage you to join us in celebrating our “Maker Fun Factory” theme by wearing a specific color each day:

                           Wednesday: Red

Thursday: Yellow

Friday: Green

                                Saturday: Blue



  • MEDICAL ACTION FORM:  If you indicated your child has an allergy on your registration form, your child’s teacher will be informed and take precautions.  However, if you have a child with a severe allergy, please remember to bring your child’s Medical Action Form & Epipen (if applicable). Please review the form found and leave the form and Epipen (if applicable) with your child’s crew leader at drop off. 

 
  • MISSION AND OUTREACH:  Our Fun Factory mission this year is “Build a Book bag”.  Our VBS Kids will put their hands and feet to their faith as they help underprivileged children in the Wake Forest Community get ready for school by supplying them with a book bag full of school supplies.  The VBS kids are asked to donate school supplies such as: book bags, pencils, scissors, crayons, markers, notebook paper, and folders. These supplies will later be packed in the book bags, delivered to Taylor Street Park, and distributed to children within the community in need of school supplies. Our church has an established relationship with that community through our Hot Dog lunch, which is served weekly to our Taylor Street community friends.  We are excited for our kids to have this opportunity to be God’s Hand, God’s Heart, and God’s Voice within our community.
