Waterloo Catholic Faith Formation invites children ages 5-11 to Scuba VBS: Diving Into Friendship with God!
A summer children's event called Scuba VBS will be hosted at the Blessed Sacrament Parish Center from July 22nd to July 25th. At Scuba, each night begins with Sing & Play Splash, where we learn the bible point for the night and sing catchy songs. Children will also get to do sticky scripture where kids will dive into God’s Word with multiple senses, understanding the words, where they are in Scripture, and how the verse applies to them today. Children will also experience the imagination station where we will make crafts that serve as a reminder of the things kids learned while at VBS. In addition to learning about the Bible, we will have other fun activities like Reef Rec where we will have outdoor games and Tidal Treats where we will have themed snacks that connect to the night's bible point. Each night concludes with the Fin-tastic Finale that gets everyone involved in living what they've learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in each night for this special time at 7:45 pm.
Scuba VBS is free of charge for children ages 5-11.
Monday (7/22) - Wednesday (7/24): VBS from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Child drop off & pick up will be in the gym in the parish center.
Thursday (7/25): Family wide closing mass at 5:30 pm. Instead of dropping your child(ren) off in the gym, your entire family should join us in the church for mass. After mass we will have a pizza and ice cream social!
VBS is made possible by our willing and engaging adult volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering to be a crew leader, a station leader, or a greeter click register under volunteer registration!
