What will VBS look like this Summer?  Here are some of the basics.

We are reducing the size of our gathering-group by offering a 2 night VBS for Elementary and a 1 day VBS for preschoolers.

  • Elementary: July 30-31 @ 7-9pm
  • Preschool: August 1 @ 10-11:30am

We are using 2 separate spaces, which allows us to separate even more.

  • Fellowship Hall & Outside Spaces (Thurs/Fri: K-2nd grade, Saturday: Preschool 1)
  • Pointe & Outside Spaces (Thurs/Fri: 3rd-5th grade, Saturday: Preschool 2)

Our Elementary Crews will look different than in the past.

  • Elementary crews will consist of a maximum of 5 kids & a crew leader.
  • Elementary crews will travel in 3 groups of 4 crews (max) to the different events.

Our Preschool Crews will look different than in the past.

  • We will not have any Preschool Crew Leaders or Crew Leader Assistants.
  • Instead, a parent will be required to attend VBS with their preschooler (yes, a preschooler may bring a friend that can travel with their parent)
  • Parents will be responsible for monitoring the distancing of their preschooler to other preschoolers, as best you can, understanding with their age, this will be limited.

Others important points to know and consider...

  • Online Registrations Required. Because this years VBS is limited to the amount of kids that can participate, we are not accepting walk-up registration.   We regret having to have this policy, however, this will allow us to create the safest environment for kids to participate.
  • Crews will not intermingle with crews from the opposite environment. (Kids at the Fellowship Hall location will not mix with kids at the Pointe location.)
  • Indoor events will occur in larger spaces with ventilation and will not last more than 20 minutes after starting.
  • Prepackaged snacks and drinks will be provided.
  • Welcome tents will be located at the entrance to each space to help connect kids to their crews.
  • Elementary parents can drop off their kids at the door but we ask that parents not enter the spaceWe may offer FB live at our opening and closing times so parents can join in on the fun.  (Preschool Parents must remain with their preschooler.)
  • We are not requiring kids or adults to wear a mask or face covering, however we will sanitize the space before and after use.
  • Finally, we ask that you use your best judgement when deciding to allow your child to participate. We will do our very best to keep them safe while they are in our care, however, if your child is not feeling well or is running a temperature, please do not bring them. Help us ensure safety for all the kids and volunteers.

We look forward to a GREAT time together!
