Local Mission Project: 

Kid to Kid Book Drive to support the Thurman Brisben Center:  Ferry Farm Baptist Church through our VBS Mission is asking participants to donate NEW or GENTLY USED children and teen books, NEW activity or coloring books, and/or NEW crayons, color pencils, or markers.  These items will be donated to the children and youth housed at the Thurman Brisben Center.   Our goal is to collect 150 books.


      

International Mission Project: 

International Mission Project: More Than Nets (through BGAV – Baptist General Association of Virginia) Goal: $1500

More Than Nets- Yendi region of Ghana. More Than Nets continues to tackle the scourge of malaria in West Africa.

Treated mosquito nets are distributed in villages along with training. Also, this allows for church planting in many of those villages.

By partnering with BGAV Each $10 donation is used as follows:

  • $6 = 1 mosquito net
  • $2 = Education into the proper use of the mosquito net and additional education tools on health, awareness and prevention of malaria.
  • $1 = Transportation
  • $1 = Church Planting

We are excited to partner with such experts, who love God and have a desire to care for God's people. With our goal of $1500 we have the opportunity to purchase 150 nets, help educated the community and help with Church Planting.
