Plant Hope in Haiti

When you're hungry, you probably open your refrigerator to find at least a couple of things inside.  And your cupboards likely have at least a few odds and ends sitting on the shelves.  Most of us don't think twice about where our next meal will come from.  And if we don't have enough, our neighbors, family, friends ,or local agencies can lend a hand.

  • Haiti is considered the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere.
  • Deforestation, combined with recent hurricanes, violent tropical storms, and years of drought, has left Haitians with poor soil that makes farming a struggle.
  • Harvests have dropped to about one-third of normal production.
  • In 2016, 26 percent of children ages 5 and under suffered from chronic malnutrition.

How can we help?

Operation Kid-to-Kid is partnering with World Vision to provide Haitian families with drought-tolerant seeds - enough to grow food for the entire family, with additional crops to sell in community markets.

A $10 gift provides seeds that can grow into food that will feed a child for an entire year.  And any donation makes a difference!  Add whatever you can to the Operation Kid-to-Kid Seed Packet Donation Envelope sent home with your child.  We're excited to see God's love grow as we help struggling families in Haiti.
