All Week: Support Catholic Relief Services' Turn on the Water Project
This week, your family can do something to help families who have endured natural disasters like drought, hailstorms, and torrential rains. There is an urgent need to protect ruaral livelihoods and ecosystems. We will be collecting monetary donations that will support CRS’s effort in providing nutrient-rich fertilizer for farmers, stocking fish ponds, providing livestock, training farmers to use sustainable agriculture techniques, and helping them irrigate crops. Your child can bring in loose change or a check from your family…every donation large or small can make a difference and you can participate every day. Another way you can help is to lower your water footprint. Turn off the sink while you brush your teeth; only wash full loads of laundry; use energy efficient appliances; harvest rainwater to water your garden.
