Elementary Track FAQ

What Should My Child Wear To VBS?

VBS is full of hands on activity. Students should come to VBS in play clothes and closed toed shoes. Please do not send your child in flip-flops or sandals. Kids are running, jumping, dancing and having a great time and we don't want any hurt toes!

Where Do I Go On The First Day Of VBS?

Elementary registration and check-in is in the church lobby! If you have both elementary and preschool children, please drop off and check in your preschooler first.  If you have pre-registered for VBS, please come to the Pre-registered Check-In table. You will find your child's name on the alphabetical master list (listed by last name) and check them in. Please do this everyday of VBS. One of our wonderful Registration Assistants will help you find your child's crew number.

Once you have the crew assignment, proceed into the worship center. Your child's Crew Leader will be ready to greet you! Please introduce yourself to your child's crew leader. If there is anything you need them to know (i.e. allergies, special food needs, etc) please let them know at this time. You will also pick your child up directly from their crew leader.

Where To I Pick Up My Child?

Safety is very important to us. For this reason we ask that all parent pick their children up directly from their Crew Leaders in the worship center. We will not release students to the parking lot, parents must come into the building to pick up their child. Also, please make sure that you alert your child's Crew Leader if someone different will be picking up your child from VBS. Give the Crew Leader a name and phone number of the person who will be picking up and ask the individual to bring ID for pick-up.

What Should I Do If My Child Has An Epi-Pen Or Medication They Need To Keep With Them?

Bring any emergency medication (epi-pen, inhaler, etc.) in a zip lock bag with your child's name clearly printed on the bag. Also include any special instructions in the bag. If your child needs to keep this medication with them at all times, please give it to the crew leader. Otherwise drop it off in the main office. We will keep it safe while your child is at VBS and you can pick it up at the end of the morning.

What About Snacks? What If My Child Has Food Allergies Or Sensitivities?

Please let us know any food allergies or sensitivities on the registration form. We aim for most of our snacks to be free from common allergens and we will do our very best to accommodate allergies and sensitivities as we are able. However the best precaution you can take is to send your child with an alternative safe snack.
