All the spirit of Sonrise with added safety!
We want Sonrise Rainforest to be an opportunity to joyfully return to a much-loved tradition. At the same time, the safety and health of the kids and volunteers is very important to us. In an effort to balance these two values we will be modifying Sonrise in the following ways:
1. Safe Spaces - We will be disinfecting areas between groups and minimizing the use of shared resources (crayons, scissors, etc.). Extra space between kids will be built into all our activities and gatherings.
2. Consistent Crews - Kids will be assigned to small groups (teams) that will rotate through the daily activities together. The teams will stay the same all week. This will minimize the number of people each child directly interacts with during the week.
3. Optimize the Outdoors - We will plan as many activities outside as possible.
4. Personal Protection - Only well children with no known exposure to COVID-19 should come to Sonrise. Please bring your own water bottle and hand sanitizer (we will have some available). MASK WILL BE OPTIONAL FOR KIDS AND LEADERS.
