Topics

Sunday, July 7: "Love Them"

During this session, parents will learn the importance of establishing a spiritual alliance with their children. We will also consider how love is our greatest need and the highest calling when raising children. Parents will better understand the relationship between behaviors and needs. Practical ideas from a biblical perspective of how to demonstrate that love will be presented.

Monday, July 8: "Focused"

The second session will help us understand the importance of developing awareness of self and how to approach this process. We will talk about the difference between what we do and who we are as well as the benefits of prayer in parenting.

Tuesday, July 9: "A Bigger Game Plan"

After learning how to establish a spiritual alliance and how to help our kids develop awareness of who they are, it is important to consider our expectations as parents and to evaluate if those expectations are aligned with God's will. This session deals with that process as it considers our hopes and desires in relation to God's.

Wednesday, July 10: "The Fruit of Discipline"

The main purpose of this session is to identify the qualities of God's discipline and to consider how we can have those qualities when disciplining our children in a context of creating disciples. We will discuss growth as a continual opportunity for our children.

Thursday, July 11: "Let's Keep Going"

This final session aims to clarify the concepts from previous sessions and to promote the perspective of seeing the process as a lifelong commitment.
