Operation Kid to Kid

Most of us can easily access healthy and clean water to drink and clear water from a sink to wash and be clean.
In countries like Honduras, 1 in every 9 people do no have access to clean water. Many of these people live in rural areas. Women and children walk long distances to wells, keeping children out of school, and keeping women from caring for their families in other ways. Often the water they can access is not clean and makes them sick.
But we can change that!
Our SCUBA divers are joining with World Vision a non-profit, non-governmental organization. World vision connects one new person with clean water every 10 seconds.
A $5.00 donation provides clean water for one person for more than a year, and helps provide hand washing and sanitation resources.

Local Project: Birthday Buckets! The SMLC Pantry provides guests with a week's worth of groceries, serving hundreds of families each year. SCUBA Divers are invited to bring in sand bucket filled with birthday cake mix and frosting. Add whatever you'd like - sprinkles, balloons, or candles. Bring buckets to our Operation Kid to Kid display in the lobby. Because of our SCUBA VBS, children in need in our area will get to have a birthday made special by this loving action.
