Q: How much supervision will there be for my child?

  1. Elementary groups generally have 1 leader for every 5-7 children. For preschool there is one leader for every 3-4 children. All leaders 18+ are background checked and leaders under 18 are known or interviewed before they serve.


Q: How do I pay for VBC?

  1. The easiest way to pay is by using the paypal link found on our VBC registration website.

You may also pay by cash or check directly to Santa Cruz Bible Church at 440 Frederick St. Santa Cruz, CA 95062

Please put “VBC” and your child’s first and last names in the memo. Office Hours are M-TH 9am-12:00noon and 1:00pm-4:00pm.


Q: Q: When is payment due and how much does VBC cost?


  1. Payment is due at the time of registration, your child is not officially registered until payment is received.

Early Bird Registration is March 31st-April 30th and is $65 per child.

On May 1st Registration will increase to $85 per child.

Registration will remain open until June 14th provided spaces are available.

Registration fills up quickly, to get the best rate and insure your child’s spot in Santa Cruz Bible’s VBC 2019 we encourage you to register your child(ren) early.


Q: What does Registration include:

  1. VBC Registration includes 5 days of fun filled activities from 9:00am-12:15 daily, it also includes crafts, a daily snack, daily take homes, a cool t-shirt, games and Friday Fun Day which you won’t want to miss!




Q: W Q: What if my child has special dietary needs?

  1. We do our best to make snacks as nutritious as possible. However, because of the number of children we have and the various dietary restrictions, we can not accommodate special dietary needs. If your child has food allergies or other special dietary needs, please send them with an appropriate snack they can eat during snack-time.


Q: Can someone other than me pick up my child?

  1. Yes! If you would like someone other than you to pick up your child, please let your leader know at the beginning of the morning when you drop your child off so they will know what to expect. You will need to leave the alternate person’s name and contact phone number (We will have a clipboard available for this information and our leaders will be instructed to follow our safety guidelines. Please be sure to inform the person picking up your child that they will be required to show a picture ID or driver's license . The safety of each child in our care is of the utmost importance, therefor no child will be permitted to leave with someone else unless we have your permission and we can verify that person.


Q: My child won’t be 4 in time for VBC, but will be turning 4 soon after, can they still attend VBC?

  1. We’d love to say yes to all children, but we also have a cut-off date, and we’ve chosen to accept children who will be 4 by the week VBC begins. However, if your child is close to 4 and you would like to volunteer to help in their classroom and you will remain with your child, we can make an accommodation for that.


Q: Can my middle school student volunteer to help at VBC?

  1. Yes! Typically middle school students 6th-8th grade help as preschool assistant crew leaders. They will need to register as a volunteer and they will need to attend our assistant crew leaders meetings. We will contact you with additional information once they have signed up.


Q: I want a CD with this years VBC music, where can I get that?

  1. We have CDs and download cards for $5 on Sundays in the children’s building, or in the church office Monday-Thursday from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00. They will also be available the week of VBC.
