2017 Volunteer Job Descriptions:

Crew Guide:  We need over 150 Crew Guide, if you are unsure where to serve – this is the place!  Crew Guides play an important role at Summer BLOCK Party – they lead small groups of elementary or preschool aged children from station to station each night.  Crew Guides are 16 years or older.  While not in charge of preparing or teaching activities; they and help shepherd the members of their crew and help them joy SBP. Preschool crew guides will work with children ages 3 to 5 years and Elementary Crew Guides will work with children in Kindergarten through 5th grade. 

Station Volunteer – A Youth Volunteer:  Rising 7th through 12th graders may serve in various areas on our SBP journey.  All youth volunteers, please register under this job title and you will be contacted regarding your final crew assignment before we begin.

Station Volunteers – Registration: Registration volunteers will serve as friendly hosts/hostesses of our SBP. Duties will include greeting participants and parents upon arrival, check-in pre-registered preschool or elementary age children, sign up new children, as well as assist with dismissal.

Station Volunteer – Crafts, Snacks & Missions: Volunteers will help children make crafts that relate to our Bible story and Bible Point each evening.  In addition, you will serve Bible story or point relevant snacks and help show them how to share God’s love through mission-focused activities.

Station Volunteer – Games: Volunteers will lead games for elementary or preschool children that emphasize the Bible story or point each night.            

Station Volunteer – Facilities, Security & Medical: These folks will help keep us safe and organized with respect to facility setup and tear down, tidiness, safety, dismissal procedures and medical.                                        

Station Volunteers – Nursery: Nursery volunteers will take care of other SBP volunteers’ infants and toddlers who are too young to attend.

Station Volunteers – Kick-Off:  Our Kick-Off team will start our entire Summer BLOCK Party with a welcoming party before we begin on Sunday night.  Duties include serving food, face painting, bounce houses, popcorn, and lots of other fun activities.  This is a great place for people to serve if you are only able to serve on Sunday evening.  Note: volunteers registering for other stations may help with Kick-Off...please write "Will Help with Kick Off" in the comments section of your registration.
