As there is no participant fee for the Redeemer VBS 2021 program, donations are sought for the following two community outreach Missions :
A) Operation Kid to Kid- Global Mission
At our Redeemer TREASURED VBS 2021 program our VBS families children are welcome to donate $10 to help in the purchase of bed nets to keep at-risk children safe from malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
Did you know
- Malaria kills more than 2,000 children every day.
- About half of the world’s population is at risk for malaria. Nearly 1 million people die from malaria every year.
- Children under the age of 5 are most at-risk and account for an alarming percentage of the global malaria-related deaths each year.
- A treated bed net can protect two or more children for up to four years!
All donations
will be sent directly to World Vision, who will purchase and then distribute the
mosquito nets throughout key African nations and other countries impacted
by malaria
B) Westfield Food Pantry -Local Mission
Please donate non-perishable good items such as peanut butter, jelly, pasta, ottled tomato sauce, fruit cups, canned meals. August is a time when the Westfield Food Pantry is low on basic food supplies.
Your child(ren) can bring in the food donations during VBS week and place in the designated area of the Sanctuary. This is a tangible faith stepping stone for your child(ren) to serve others by providing for another person's immediate daily need. Great family conversation starter to count our daily blessings from our heavenly Father.
