Greetings from Pleasant View Church!
We are so excited to tell you about our VBS for this year! We will be having a “Wilderness Escape” adventure with Moses!! After much prayer and planning, we have decided to have our VBS from August 9-13 for ages 4-12. You can choose to have VBS in your home via virtual or you can come to our outdoor VBS at the church!! Note if it rains – we will be having it indoors in our fellowship hall.
For those that want to have VBS in your home, after you preregister, you will be given info as to when to come to the church to pick up your supplies for the week. You will also be given instructions as to how to watch our VBS from your home.
For those that want to experience our outdoor VBS, you can choose to come to PV from 6:00-7:00pm or 7:30-8:30pm each evening. Each family will bring their own blanket to sit on during the hour session. Every evening we will sing songs, watch a drama of Moses, learn a Bible verse, work on a craft, and have a snack. We ask that parents with young children sit on their blanket with their children. Parents with older children can also sit with their child or bring a lawn chair to sit behind all of the kids! If your child has a friend or relative that they want to sit with on their blanket, they will be permitted if we have mutual permission.
Note that whether you decide to do virtual VBS or join our outdoor VBS, every family will
receive a CD with our VBS songs, and every child will get a colorful bandura! The banduras
work great in place of a mask! While wearing masks are currently not required since they will
only be with family members, they will have one just in case it is needed!!
Whether virtual or our outdoor VBS, every child will get a bag with goodies for that night which will include a Bible Buddy w/ verse, a craft, and a snack. We are trying to keep our VBS as safe as possible!
Preregistration is required by August 1. Once you have registered, we will be sending you more info closer to the time of VBS. Please remember that if your child wants to be with someone other than a family member for our outdoor VBS – we need permission from both sets of families.
We pray that you have a safe summer! We are looking forward to having your child at our VBS – we are planning some special surprises for the kids! One thing we can all remember – God will guide and provide for us – just like he did for Moses!!!
