Welcome to Vacation Bible School at Overland Park Lutheran!
At OP Lutheran VBS we have two different VBS programs in one building! We have a Preschool and an Elementary, programs.
The preschool program (for kids of volunteers) is geared for kids who turn 4 before September 1, 2021 through kids who will be entering Kindergarten in the 2021-2022 school year. The program is geared for little minds who are discovering the love of Jesus. Their day will begin in a small group atmosphere with welcoming crew leaders and introduction to the bible buddy. After getting acquainted they will rotate through music, outside play, snacks, crafts, and Bible discovery. At each stop during their day the kids will be reminded of the bible point for each day. To end the day kids will return to their small group classroom for a fun wrap up to their day. In order to attend the preschool VBS each child must have a parent volunteer.
Our Elementary program mimics the preschool version, but is geared toward taking the kids deeper with each bible point. Our Elementary kids open and close their day in our main worship center, during this time they will experience high energy songs, fun skits and always hear the wonderful ways Jesus loves us. Instead of open playground, kids in our elementary program attend games each day. The games are always a highlight of each day, taking the bible point and making it fun and super active!
