Get ready for an unforgettable week as children step back in time to ancient Rome - where they’ll experience the excitement, challenges, and faith of the early church in a hands-on, interactive way.

At Louisburg United Methodist Church, our VBS is designed to be more than just a program - it’s an experience. From the moment children arrive, they’ll be immersed in the sights, sounds, and stories of Paul’s world, learning what it means to follow Jesus with courage and joy.

Age-Appropriate Experiences

We offer separate preschool and elementary tracks, ensuring that every child participates in activities tailored to their age, attention span, and developmental level. Each group will enjoy the same overall theme, but with activities designed just for them.

A Week Full of Engaging Activities

Each day is filled with a variety of hands-on and high-energy experiences, including:

  • Music & Movement – Kids will learn fun, faith-filled songs and simple dance routines that bring the message of the week to life.
  • Games – Interactive games that get kids moving, laughing, and working together.
  • Snacks – Themed snacks that tie into the daily Bible story and Roman setting.
  • Crafts – Creative projects children can take home as reminders of what they’ve learned.
  • Storytime – Engaging storytelling that brings Paul’s adventures and the early church to life in a way kids can understand and remember.

Roman “Families” – Building Connection

Children will be placed into small groups called Roman “families.” These groups stay together throughout the week, creating a sense of belonging, consistency, and friendship.

Each “family” is led by caring volunteers who guide children through activities, encourage participation, and help them feel seen and valued. It’s a wonderful way for kids to build relationships while experiencing VBS together.

A Special Sunday Celebration

The experience doesn’t end on Friday!

Children are invited to join us for Sunday worship following VBS, where they’ll have the opportunity to share what they’ve learned by performing the songs and dance movements they practiced throughout the week.

It’s a joyful time for families and the church community to celebrate everything the children experienced and learned together.

Come As You Are—Join the Journey

Whether your child can attend every day or just part of the week, they are welcome to be part of this exciting journey through ancient Rome. Every moment is designed to help children grow in faith, build friendships, and have fun along the way.
