Our 2017 Maker Fun Factory was such a success! Our amazing team of volunteers were able to reach over 125 children each day! Children rotated through stations like Bible Discovery, Imagination Station, Kid Vid Cinema, Snack Factory, Game Makers, and Sound Wave Sing and Play. In each station, they were exposed to Bible points and key Bible verses to make sure the week was a God-Centered one!

We also worked on a clean water mission project where we collected money to provide a water source to a small village, called Pacot, in Haiti. We will be making the first donation to this project, and we collected over $900 for the cause!! Actually, one of my favorite parts of VBS related to this project. A young girl, maybe 8 years old, emptied her piggy bank (over $42 in change!) to donate to the cause! Not only did she donate every penny she had to her name, she had also written a letter to God letting him know she was willingly giving her money, and asking him to help raise more money for this small village. It was such a heartwarming experience and a situation that made it so evident that we were making a difference in not only the lives of the children who attended VBS, but also for that small village in Haiti.

I heard countless parents and family members remark on how catchy the music was, and that their children were listening to the CD of VBS songs on repeat. Worshiping through song and music is so powerful and Pastor Rich did an amazing job of engaging the children through music and dance each morning and afternoon.

On a final note, I cannot thank the volunteers enough- whether you volunteered for one hour, or throughout the entire week, whether you gave supplies, helped set up or cleanup, or kept us in your prayers, we needed you, and the week would not have been as amazing without your input. So THANK YOU! And thank you for trusting me with such an awesome job!
