Our 2023 Day Camp Dates:
Monday, June 26 to Friday, June 30, 9 AM-12 noon
Participants' registration is open to PreK to 4th Grade. As of April, all grades are already represented and still have spaces remaining. We spend some of our time in large-group and inter-generational activities and some of our time with our peers. All ages have appropriate responsibilities and ways to celebrate their growth. All ages are valued for their insights and presence.
Volunteers' registration is open to 5th Grade to Adult. We've got a great crew and we're still accepting additional support in a variety of roles including acting, music, tending the campfire, food and hospitality, leading hero training mini-stations, and working together to take care of our arts and play equipment. We abide by recommended ratios.
Camp T-shirts are provided for tie-dye - tell us your size (included on the registration link above) and feel free to bring additional pieces (maybe a cape, bag, pillowcase) to use with any extra dye. We're glad to use it up while it's at its freshest and brightest colors!
We'll also have plenty of other arts, music, games, and snacks!
Free to all regardless of residence or membership. This event is a gift from our church to our wider community. Only our broader program's supplies and ministerial staff are listed in our annual budget, so Day Camp is possible because of our enthusiastic participants, sponsors, and volunteers. Thank YOU for making it happen!
This is a huge, invaluable chunk of dedicated time and space for our kids to enjoy each other outside of their usual schools and teams, be playful and creative, and practice meaningful care for neighbors both in and beyond the church. The same story that sends us out for loving service calls us in to grow in grace and share in each other's joy!
*We'll be mostly outdoors weather-permitting, and indoors we have large gathering spaces and a lift to all other levels. We have preschool child-sized restrooms and accessible restrooms for children and adults. Please tell us of assistance or accessibility you or your child may require for a great experience at camp.
We can't wait to train with you, Heroes! Remember to do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with God! (Micah 6:8)
