We need helpers to make VBS work! We strive to make sure our volunteer opportunities are flexible and enjoyable for each person.
CREW LEADER/CHIEF
Our crew leaders are outgoing 6th-12th graders. They lead our mixed-age small groups. It's a critical role in our VBS model. The students really look up to their Crew Leaders and can't wait to be one when they get older! It's also a great way to learn communication and leadership skills. One training session is required.
Crew Chiefs* are adults that oversee several of our mixed-age small groups. They are on-hand to offer support and encouragement to our Crew Leaders.
ROTATION HELPER/FLOATING HELPER
Rotation Helpers* are there to provide another set of hands (and ears!) at our various rotation stations, which include Drama, Music, and Games! Perfect for people that want to get in the mix with the kids without having to prepare a lesson beforehand!
Floating Helpers* are able to go wherever they are needed that day. Choose as many days as you would like to help.
KITCHEN HELPERS
While our meal supplies are purchased and organized prior to VBS, we need helpers to put the food out and help with clean up.
CHECK-IN/REGISTRATION
We'll need one person that can arrive around 4:30 each day to great our VBS attendees at the door and get them checked in. You are welcome to join us as a helper for the rest of VBS each evening, or just help during this shorter time period (4:30-5:30pm).
*Adults that fill these roles are required to go through a background check prior to the start of VBS.
