Expectations

  • If you are going to be absent, make sure you find your own replacement (in the even you are having trouble, contact FLC staff for assistance)
  • Arrive on time and be prepared.
  • Use appropriate language and actions (not including slang, insulting, eye rolling, etc.)
  • Keep an open line of communication with FLC staff regarding any issues that may arise.
  • Be positive, encouraging and supportive of all students.

Leadership:

  • Lead by example.
  • Keep students on task and encourage good behavior.
  • Participate in the activities, worship, opening, games, etc. with you students.
  • Redirect students who get off track of task and adjust activities and seating as necessary.
  • Be positive faith role model.

Adult/Child Protection:

  • In order to live our FLC mission, and for the safety of all, we may preform public record checks.
  • Avoid situations where you are alone with a student.
  • Be sure your meeting space is accessible (unlock doors, a window or door left open)
  • Adults must be aware that any physical contact with students can be misinterpreted.
  • Avoid situations that can be misinterpreted.

Privacy & Reporting:

  • Adults should respect the privacy of students and maintain confidentiality. Situations that put a student at any kind of risk should be reported to FLC staff.

  • I will abide by and follow all CoVid-19 protocols that are laid out by First Lutheran Church.
