Mission Projects for VBS 2024 include:

· Local: Walker Spivey Elementary School

Summer is just about here. As the school year ends, many families with children will turn their attention to beach trips, pool parties, and family outings. Unfortunately, that is not the case with all families. Families with children who are living in poverty, like those that we serve at Walker Spivey Elementary School, will experience additional hardships once the schools close for the summer. Families that rely on the school's free breakfast and lunch resources to feed their children will face those additional expenses. In partnership with the Mission Committee of First Presbyterian Church, we will support Walker Spivey Elementary School in addressing this issue and provide food, toiletries, and household items to 10 families during the summer. The goal is to provide items to the families once a month until the new school year begins. We need your help with some of the items for both children and adults listed below:
         · Toothpaste
         · Toothbrushes
         · Bar Soap
         · Liquid Hand soap

· GlobalOfferings collected will go to Haiti Outreach Ministries. Education is essential for any child’s development, but in Haiti, education is much more than that – it is the necessary foundation to escape pervasive national poverty and a pathway to a better future. In Haiti, there is no free, public education. HOM and its Haitian partner MICECC operate three primary schools and a secondary school, providing a quality education steeped in Christian principles. Your donation covers the costs of uniforms, books, school supplies, and daily lunch, as well as supports teacher salaries and ongoing school maintenance. Student sponsorship makes HOM schools possible and allows them to keep the school doors open and young minds expanded. Our goal is to raise enough money to sponsor two children!

  • Primary School Student – $420 per year ($35 per month)
  • Secondary School Student – $720 per year ($60 per month)

With YOUR help, we can help those in need both here and abroad.
