Have questions about VBS? We have you covered!
What ages/grades can attend Rainforest Falls VBS? All children ages 3 through 5th grade are welcome to join us in the rainforest this year! Please note all children must be fully potty trained attend VBS.
What about my older children? Students entering grades 6th through 12th this fall are welcome to join us as Youth Helpers. They can help guide crews, assist with games or music and more! Plus- Youth Helpers get to stay late for VBS Hangs! VBS Hangs take place daily after our program. Students will have lunch together before an afternoon of games.
What are the dates and daily times? VBS from 9AM to 12PM Mon- Thurs. (June 15th-18th.) Drop off starts at 8:45 AM.
Is there a cost to attend? There is no charge to attend VBS at First Church! We do graciously accept donations, or you can support us through our VBS Wish List, which can be found here: First Church VBS Wish List!
How does check-in and pick-up work? When arriving at VBS plan on entering through Door 9. There will be signs so you know you are in the right place! Be sure to sign your students in and out daily at our registration table. If you have a late drop off or early pick up let us know, and we will coordinate the details with you!
Are background checks done for volunteers? Yes! All volunteers are background checked and follow Safe Gatherings Guidelines.
Should my child bring anything each day? Children should wear comfy clothing and bring a water bottle labeled with their name. We kindly request no flip flops- we play a lot of water games, and this can lead to injury. Preschool children are welcome to bring change of clothes, just in case.
Will snacks or meals be provided? We will have snack in Treetop Treats daily! If your child has a food allergy, please note this on your registration. You are also welcome to send your own snacks. What if my child has medical needs or takes medication? Please reach out to Tammy at tmckay@firstchurchcl.org to discuss your child's medical needs and accommodations that we offer.
Can my child be placed with a friend? Children are put in "Crews" based on the grade they will be entering in the fall. If your child has a friend they would like placed in the same Crew, please list them here. We will do our very best to keep friends together! Please note: Requests are not guaranteed. Crew decisions are made based on child/volunteer ratios with safety in mind. Children requesting to be placed with a friend of a different age will be moved down a Crew grade level. Pre-K and Grade School age levels will not be combined due to the unique activities designed for various age levels and learning needs of the children.
