- At our True North VBS your elementary child will be placed in a mixed-age crew of K- 5th grade. These crews will be travelling to stations with 2 other mixed-age crews, so they will be in a larger group with kids from their grade level. In our years of running VBS we have found mixed- age crews to be beneficial and fun for everyone. They encourage teamwork, reduce discipline problems, encourage relationship building and are easier for our crew leaders and station leaders to manage.
- Once your child receives their crew assignment on night 1, we kindly ask that parents and children do not request crew changes. It takes a lot of time and effort to make each crew and rotation group balanced, based on many different criteria (age, gender, crew size, additional needs, etc.). Please contact Allie Trieb (atrieb@trinityhudson.org) if you have any questions or concerns.
- For the safety and security of all our VBS kids, a parent/guardian will be REQUIRED to come into the sanctuary to sign their child in and out with the Crew Leaders. Please refrain from dropping them off at the door or sending an older sibling in. On Day 1 you will be provided with a unique 3-digit code for each child. You will be required to show this code upon pick-up each night. The safety of your children is important to us and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
