Day Missions is an introduction to serving for rising 5th -12th graders (under the supervision of adults and college students). In Day Missions, we serve many organizations such as: Providing and delivering necessity items to low income residents in or near the downtown Greenville area; make necessity packets for homeless; honor our local police and firemen with special gifts; pick up trash in the downtown areas, hand out water bottles and pray over the homeless and anyone needing prayer; serve in our own VBS; work with children and youth at YMCA Judson and Sterling Center; pack food for homeless at "Harvest Hope'; visit with the elderly and homebound - doing yard work and cleaning their homes; etc...

Day Missions Code of Conduct

I will glorify God with my actions and reactions.
Due to COVID-19, masks are to be worn according to CDD guidelines.
I will be respectful to my peers and adults at all times.
I will obey the rules.
I will not bring valuables and will be responsible for items I do bring.
I will pick up any trash I see at the church or at the mission locations.
I understand there is NO roughhousing.
NO food or drinks are to be carried in the Harper Chapel.
I will follow the dress code - NO short shorts/skirts, halter tops, spaghetti straps, inappropriate words/messages on shirts. Shoes must be worn at all times and preferably tennis shoes in order to work/play at mission sites.
No youth games or video games are to be played during Day Missions.
No students on the stage or in the sound booth unless instructed by a leader or part of the music or media crew.
I will not use profanity.
I will not use tobacco or alcohol at any time.
Cell phones will be used for emergencies and Day Missions photo opportunities only.
I will participate in all Day Mission activities.

Activity Permission - By initialing below, I grant permission for my child(ren) to participate in all activities, trips and programs in connection with First Presbyterian Church. I hereby acknowledge that my child is physically fit and capable of participating in all such activities. Transportation arrangements will be made under authorization of First Presbyterian Church and the trip will be under adult supervision. Since the activity, trip or program is arranged for the benefit of the participants, it is understood that First Presbyterian Church, its employees and adult supervisors and volunteers will exercise caution, judgment and care, but cannot be held responsible in case of accident, injury, and los or damage of property in connection with the activity, trip or program, and I will hold them harmless from all such claim. I further agree to inform the church immediately of any changes in the information presented on the release form. This release agreement is valid for the period of January 1, 2024-December 31, 2024 or until revoked by me.
