Guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!
Vacation Bible School is a five-day community-wide, non-denominational program for kids ages 3 through 5th grade. Teens (entering 6th grade and older) from Emanuel Lutheran Church & School participate as Helpers. Through fun games, songs, crafts, snacks, and activities, kids will learn of the gracious love of our Lord. This year’s theme for Vacation Bible School is “TRUE NORTH: Trusting Jesus in a Wild World!”
WHO: Children ages 3 through entering 5th Grade are welcome to be Campers. Teens entering 6th Grade and older are welcome to be Helpers. All children from Patchogue and surrounding communities are invited to attend, so please mark your calendars, and Invite a Friend!
WHAT: A week-long non-denominational program of Bible stories, games, experiments, songs, skits, snacks, and crafts.
WHEN: Vacation Bible School is Monday, August 11th through Friday, August 15th, from 9:00am – 12:00pm (Drop-Off is from 8:45am - 9:00am / Pick-Up is from 11:45am - 12:00pm). We will accept registrations up until August 11th, but please pre-register before July 1st to assure your child receives a “True North” T-Shirt! Shirts and supplies can only be guaranteed to children who have pre-registered, since they must be ordered/printed ahead of time.

HOW MUCH: The cost for supplies, snacks, buddies, crafts, & shirts is about $50 per child. We would certainly welcome your financial gift to help offset the cost for all children in our community who wish to participate. :) Any donations, of cash or check, may be delivered in person, given online (https://secure.myvanco.com/L-ZBCD/home), or mailed in (please see address above) to Emanuel Lutheran Church, up until the first day of Vacation Bible School: August 11th, 2025. Checks may be made out to “Emanuel Lutheran Church”, please write “VBS 2025” on the check memo line.
