How much does it cost for my child to attend Monumental Summer Experience?
There is no charge for your child to attend. We want our program to be accessible to everyone. Many parents ask if they can help support our program monetarily. We are very appreciative to anyone who is able to support us with a financial gift. It costs Olive Knolls approximately $50 per child for one week of Monumental Summer Experience. There is a donation button on our home page if you would like to give a gift to support our program.
What time is drop off and pick up?
On our first day, Monday, June 13th, our doors will open at 8:30 am. The first day we allow extra time to get all of our children checked-in. The rest of the week, Tuesday 6/14 - Friday, 6/17, our doors will open at 8:45 am.
Please be on time for pick up at 12:00 noon. We have many volunteers who have other responsibilities that will require them to leave at noon. You are welcome to come at 11:30 am each day and watch our Canyon Closing Celebration. This will give you a glimpse of what your child experience during their time with us each day. Please do not get your child from their Crew Leader until Canyon Closing is finished.
What does my child need to bring and wear each day?
Your child doesn't need to bring anything. We supply all the material they will need to have a fabulous time with us. Please have them wear clothing they would play in at home and shoes they can run in. We want them to be comfortable and ready for all of our crazy activities. Be sure to apply sunscreen before then come in the morning. They will spend time outdoors. Please leave toys at home. There will be so much to do they won't need any distractions with them.
Will a snack be provided?
Yes, we supply a snack and drink each day. There will also be water stations located around our facility to make sure your child has plenty of access to water. All of our snacks will be peanut free. If your child has other allergies please leave that information for us on their registration form. We will accommodate their needs.
Can we walk in on the first day and register in person?
To help us prepare the best week for your child we strongly encourage you to register in advance. This will help us have proper staffing, supplies and, crew assignment for everyone. Please register in advance. We cannot promise there will be room for your child to attend if you don't register in advance.
Can my child be a group with their friends?
Children will be in small mixed age groups (5 per crew). You will have the opportunity to request one friend your child would like to be with when you register. We will do our best to have them the same crew.
Can we purchase Monumental merchandise at Olive Knolls?
Yes, we will have shop where you can purchase the Monumental music download ($9 for all 9 songs), tee shirts ($10), and banduras ($4).
Will there be a Closing Program?
Yes, on Sunday, June 19th at 10 am you are invited to join us at Olive Knolls Church for a snapshot of all the fun we had during our week. We will sing the songs your kids will love, have a slide show of all the activities from week, and take a moment to thank all the wonderful volunteers who will make Monument Summer Experience possible.
