The VBS Staff at

"TRUE NORTH - trusting Jesus in a Wild World"

(NOTE: The Volunteer Reg'n Deadline Is July 15th)

The following VBS staff are needed:

VBS Group Leader – The group leader is a follower of Jesus who is willing to share their faith. They will be required to lead discussion and prayer times in their group at various stations each day. The leader must enjoy working with and interacting with children as they will be in charge of a group of 10-15 children throughout each morning and will lead them from station to station. Groups are arranged in grade levels from 1-6. Group Leaders will have 1-2 group helpers assigned to their group to assist them.

VBS Group Helper – The group helper is a follower of Jesus. They will be assigned to a group and is there to assist the group leader. The helper must enjoy working with and interacting with children as they will accompany a group of 10-15 children from station to station each morning. Groups are arranged in grade levels from 1-6.

VBS Station Helper – The station helper is a follower of Jesus. They assist the station leader as needed. There are 6 stations at VBS – Bible, Games, Imagination, Bible Memory Theatre, Snack, and Music.
Registration Helpers - Eight people are needed to assist with opening registration on Monday Aug 11 from 8:30 - 10:00 am.

VBS Decorating Helpers - People are needed to assist the VBS Decorating Leader and her team on Aug 6th 10:30am-2:30pm. No experience required. If you are a bit crafty, some items with instruction, can be made at home at your own time.

ALL VBS staff are required to provide safety checks:

If you have volunteered with VBS recently, you will already have a check on file with VBS or your local home church. Nothing further is needed.

If you are a NEW volunteer under 18 - You must have an adult outside of your family complete a VBS reference form. (forms will be emailed to you after you register)

If you are a NEW volunteer over 18 - You must have a child safety and a police record check done. (information will be emailed to you after you register) If you have these checks on file with your home church in Niverville, nothing further is required.

Please note ALL VBS staff must:

Attend the ALL Staff VBS staff meeting Sunday, Aug 10 at 8pm.

Purchase and wear a "TRUE NORTH" VBS tshirt and wrist band ALL week. Cost is $10. Please bring payment to the Aug 10 meeting.

Attend the morning VBS staff meetings - 8:30am on Mon Aug 11 and then 9:00am each morning the remainder of the VBS week Aug 12-15.

Please Mark Your Calendars! Mandatory ALL Staff VBS meeting Sunday, Aug 10th at 8pm at the Word of Life Church. Please bring $10 to pay for the VBS Staff Tshirt that will be handed out this day. Also, VBS CD's will be available for $10. Please check once you have noted this.
