Grades K & 1

Day 1: Jesus is a good reason to have a party.

Read John 15:11

Let’s Party! Play a quick and easy party game. Think of a game you love or create a game to play with your family. Some simple games can be: Freeze Dance, Hot Potato, or Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Have some fun! KNOW that you can celebrate Jesus any day!

Day 2: Everyone is invited to the party

Read Romans 15:7

Every party has an invitation. Create an invitation for a friend to come learn about Jesus. Invite a friend to come to church or Small Group with you. On your invitation, write or draw your favorite thing you do there. You can also write a Bible verse or a personal note. Invite your friend into the story of Jesus! ASK Jesus to help you find the right person to invite.

Day 3: Celebrate the good news

Read Philippians 4:4

Read today’s verse about being joyful. Read it aloud a few times. Start quietly and then get louder and louder each time you say the verse. Be joyful because you belong to the Lord! THANK God for giving you the opportunity to be joyful in Him.

Day 4: Jesus is the life of the party

Read 2 Corinthians 5:17

Jesus can change our life!  Talk to Jesus about what He can do to change your life. Pray something like this: “Dear Jesus, thank you for showing me that life is worth celebrating. I pray that I can always see the joy of You in my life. I pray that I can always invite others to be a part of the story. I pray that I can follow You all the days of my life. I thank You for making me part of Your family. Amen.”

LOOK for ways to invite Jesus into your life every day.

Day 5: You can be a party starter

Tell Your People This week’s verse is about telling your people about Jesus! Find a friend or family member, or even give someone a call and read through this verse with them. Then tell them what you’ve learned about Jesus this week! LOOK for people that you can tell about Jesus’ goodness.

Jesus is the light of this world! Grab a flashlight and head to a dark spot in your house, like a closet. Using only the one light, talk to Jesus about what He has done for you. You can pray your own prayer or pray something like this: “Dear Jesus, You are the light of the world. Thank You for shining so bright. I pray that I can also shine Your light on my family and friends. I pray that I can use Your light to guide my life. I love You. Amen.”
