Clean Drinking Water for Peru - Pour Out Living Water

Imagine rising at dawn, grabbing a large bucket, and heading down to the muddy banks of the river to get your family's water for the day.  This river isn't just your primary water source - it's the public bath, boat highway, fishing spot, and recreational swimming hole for everyone in your village...and upriver.  The water you pull up is brown, murky, and filled with sediment.  In fact, the reason you have to get water early in the day, is to allow time for the dirt to settle to the bottom.  Even then, the "clean" water at the top of the bucket will be filled with parasites that could easily make your family sick.

This is the daily reality for countless villagers throughout Peru - families who don't have access to safe, clean, drinking water.  Digging effective wells is expensive, and must be done by professionals who can dig deeply enough to find adequate, sustainable water sources.

For just $5 per person, we can provide clean water for an entire year for a child in a remote Peruvian Village through a partnership with Group Cares and Living Water.  When we all join with other Group VBS programs, we can reach thousands of thirsty kids with life-giving water!

Children's Book Drive - Faith Alliance Summer Lunch & Read

We will also collect new and gently used children's books for Faith Alliance's Summer Lunch & Read program in order to prevent summer reading loss.  We want to get books into the hands of kids who don't have access to books during the summer.  Please select a book your own child would like to read and donate it to this book drive during VBS.  Great choices include popular series, leveled readers, graphic novels, and Spanish titles.
