The rite of Affirmation of Baptism is an important time in the life of a young person, as they claim for themselves the promises made at their baptisms. Advent’s Confirmation ministry begins in sixth grade. and this year, 8th and 9th grade students can choose to Affirm their Baptism in May
Our Confirmation program centers on getting to know God and each other better by studying scripture together. We take Bible stories in the Hebrew Scripture, using them as a window into the nature of God’s people, and then look at the New Testament to learn about Jesus and His followers.
By showing respect for yourself and your neighbor, you give God glory. We also take a closer look at how we can honor our minds, bodies, hearts, and classmates at a time when our identities are making some monumental shifts.
