Dear Parent,
Summertime is always a time of great excitement and your child’s opportunity to attend Vacation Bible School is no different. At VBS your child will be active and engaged in physical and emotional activities that will help them to learn and grow. The Church at Indian Lake wants you to have a stress free experience and perhaps even take advantage of some quality time without the kids as you allow us to care for them for a few hours each night.
VBS runs four nights Tuesday through Friday. In-person registration and check-in begin on Tuesday night at 5:45pm. You can save time by registering on-line. All children need to be dropped off at their assigned room by 6pm each evening by you. We anticipate pick-up time to be 8:30pm each evening at the same room where you dropped them off. On Friday night, pick-up time is approximately 8:45pm. To ensure that we have volunteers in place to receive your children, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 5:45pm and no later than 6pm each night.
SECURITY POLICY
For your child’s security, there is a protocol in place where you will receive a color coded tag for each child you drop off. In order for you to pick-up your child, you MUST have the tag when you come for pick-up. In cases where one parent drops off and another picks up, parents are responsible for passing the tag along to the person who will be picking up the child/children. In the event you do not have the tag, you will be asked to leave to retrieve the tag and return to the church. To keep the children safe, there will be no exceptions to this policy.
Your child will be provided a VBS shirt and should wear the shirt each night of attendance. The shirts are color coded and help to keep the children grouped with their crew. In most cases, Crew Leaders will pick-up the shirts each night and hand them out again as they arrive the next day.
Children will be served a light snack each night, so please be sure to feed them beforehand. There is no cost to you for any part of VBS. The Church at Indian Lake is providing Vacation Bible School as a no cost ministry to your family.
PRIVACY POLICY
We will be taking photographs throughout the course of VBS and posting these pictures to our VBS Facebook page. By signing up your child to participate, you are consenting to the photographing of your child and the use of those images on our Facebook/website pages. We will not sell, or distribute your child’s image to any outside group.
