The Dugout is a children's program at Port Perry Baptist Church that runs every Wednesday night during the school year. Children age 3 to Grade 6 gather together for a night filled with games, a bible story, small group time, snack, gym time and more! Each month we have a different theme night or event and we typically end the year off with a big party! Children are split into 4 classes...
- The Chipmunks class: Age 3-JK
- The Groundhogs class: SK- Grade 2
- The Rabbits class: Girls Grade 3-6
- The Gophers class: Boys Grade 3-6
Our name, "The Dugout," comes from the idea that each week we will be digging deep into God's word and learning more about Him. Each class has been given a different animal who likes to dig to help reinforce this theme of digging deep :)
This year we are excited to introduce a new curriculum since we finished The Gospel Project this past summer. The curriculum we are using this year is called The Biggest Story. Maybe you've seen, or even own, their children's bible. The curriculum was built to teach alongside the stories in that children's bible. Similar to our previous curriculum, this curriculum will take us through major themes and stories of the bible, starting in Genesis and working our way to Revelation.
