If you have been to VBS before, you will notice some changes this year because of COVID-19 safety protocols. We will be monitoring local, state, and federal guidelines as VBS approaches, and some policies and protocols may be adjusted.
Some of the plans that we have in place include:
+Drop off and pick up times will be staggered and be done outside in the parking lot. Parents will not even need to get out of the car!
+All activities for elementary aged kids will be outside, except opening and closing programs.
+There will be multiple opening and closing programs to allow us to socially distance kids in the sanctuary. Crews will have assigned pew areas that will not be shared.
+Kids will remain in small groups (crews) that will not change during the week. There will be an option for your child to be in a crew where a mask is required.
+Kids will bring a beach towel from home each day to serve as their "sit upon spot" to maintain social distancing even within their crew.
+Preschool aged kids will be separate from elementary kids.
+All traffic and movement will be one way, including from station to station throughout the day.
+All snacks will be commercially prepackaged.
+Supplies will not be shared between kids.
