A very big part of Community Breaker Rock Beach Vacation Bible School is to help others! Our mission this year will be collecting non-perishable food donations for the Little Help Food Pantry. Donations of food or personal care items are welcome! We have set a goal of 1,000 donation items for the week. Can you help us tidal wave to reach this goal? We sure hope so! Each day as donation items come in your child will receive a ticket and be entered into a daily prize drawing. For every 100 items collected a Breaker Rock Beach Volunteer will get a pie in the face. On Friday, the kids will fill a bag with great Breaker Rock Beach Souvenirs. We will have a great assortment of items to choose from!
Don't forget... there will probably be some TWISTS AND TURNS IN OUR FUN! Please, watch the daily take home paper for details.
Food Drive Suggestion Ideas:
For every item donated, one ticket will be given to the child.
Any canned good item: Vegetables, potatoes, beans, pasta, soup or canned meats.
Any Boxed Food or Meals: Mac & Cheese, jiffy mix pasta potatoes or desserts.
Any Personal Care Item: such as shampoo, cream rinse, soap, deodorant, toothpaste or other.
Any Cleaning Products: laundry soap, dish soap, toilet cleaner, Lysol or other.
We will also have bonus items you may donate for 2 tickets for every one item donated.
Tuesday: Bring in Peanut Butter or Jelly
Wednesday: Bring in Any kind of Cereal... hot or cold.
Thursday: Toilet Paper... remember 1 ticket per item or this case per roll.
Friday: Canned Meat: Chicken, Tuna, Sausage or Ham
The Little Help Food Pantry is open every Tuesday (Except during VBS week... by appointment only) 10am - 12pm to everyone who lives with the North Newton School Corporation, Shelby and Schneider in Lake County Indiana. The Little Help Food Pantry offers FREE food and is located at the Lake Village Presbyterian Church. If you are in need, please bring your photo ID and we will be happy to serve you and your family!
