As a result of Covid-19, like many other things, VBS is going to be quite different than our previous years. We have come with creative solutions that will allow us to accomplish our goals of sharing and showing God's love while maintaining the safety and health of your children and our volunteers.
Our current plan is to have four separate VBS days (July 14th, 16th, 20th, and 22nd). These days will be from 9:00am-1:00pm. This years days are longer than they have been in the past, but we will be combining a weeks material and content into one day. By only hosting your children for one day and spacing the days that children are at the church we will be able to disinfect the areas that they will be in contact.
In addition to your children only coming for one day, there will be a limited number of children that can attend each day. We have decided to limit the number of children each day to 20. By limiting the number of participants we will have smaller groups where we can better adhere to the social distancing guidelines provided by the Health Department.
Please be aware that when your child is dropped off in the morning, they will have their temperature checked in compliance with the Health Department's guidelines. We are taking this action as a preventative measure to help ensure the health of your children and our volunteers.
As another precaution, we will be having our volunteers wearing masks and are following social distancing guidelines to further increase the safety of your children.
Hand sanitizer stations will be readily available during each day of VBS to promote the health of the children and volunteers.
We know that this is very different from the past, but we are looking forward to having a wonderful and meaningful experience during this week with your children!
