Programs and Sacramental Prep Offerings for 2021-22
We are excited to bring back onsite programming this year! We believe that community is an important part of the overall faith formation experience, which is why we encourage the onsite programming to everyone. However, online/at-home options are available to families who prefer that method. Please select the method that makes the most sense for your situation.

Program Year Options. Our program year will begin the first week in October and will conclude in mid-April. Families can choose from these options:

· Sunday Evenings from 5:15-6:15pm (Closed 9/7/2021)

· Wednesday Evenings from 6:30-7:30pm (Closed 10/6/2021)

- Online/At-Home

Please note that the Sunday evening program option takes place after the 4:00pm mass. We will NOT be offering a meal this year, though a snack will be provided to your child/youth during the session.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS FOR FAITH FORMATION PROGRAMS
We place a high priority in ensuring that we comply with mandates from the Minnesota Department of Health and are providing the safest possible environment for our children and youth. Among the measures we are taking are compliance with whatever social distancing measures are currently in place, requiring masking for all those who have not been vaccinated, and sanitation of all spaces immediately following their use.

Beginning September 1, we will be publishing online the current parish-approved procedures, in light of current state mandates and protocols. Please understand that are policies for the programs will be evolving and adjusting in accordance with the current situation. CLICK HERE to view the most current guidelines for youth programs from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Registration:  The registration fee is $85 per registrant, with a family cap of $200. We have taken great care in setting a price range that was reasonable for families, as well as ensures we cover the expenses of the programs and materials we are offering. As in the past, all adults who serve as a catechist will receive a full tuition scholarship for their entire family. Unfortunately, the nursery will NOT be available for catechists to place their young children in this year, so please take this into consideration as you discern your willingness and availability.

Partial and full scholarships are available to families for whom our pricing may prove to be a financial hardship. Please contact Scott Brazil, Director of Faith Formation, for more information at sbrazil@paxchristi.com or 952-405-7230.

SACRAMENTAL PREP:

The sacrament preparation process is part of our faith formation programs. This includes the sacrament of First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation. It is our policy that, in order to participate in the sacrament preparation process, your child needs to either be registered and regularly attending one of our faith formation programs the entire year before and the year of the sacrament, or attending a Catholic school. Because of the unusual circumstances related to the pandemic, children who did not participate in a faith formation program in 2020-21 may still receive their sacraments this year. Registration for our programs occurs in the late summer through fall and can be found at that time on our web page. Please contact the program ministers with questions.
