Q: How old does my preschooler have to be to attend VBS?

A: All preschoolers must be 3 years old by July 29, 2019 AND potty trained in order to participate in VBS.

Q: Why don't I see an option to request that my child be in the same group as a friend?

A: Due to the large number of kids and limited availability of crews, we cannot guarantee that your child will be able to be assigned to the same crew as their friend. Also, we have found that using mixed age crews and splitting up friend groups into separate crews reduces behavior issues, and helps the kids make new friends of all ages at VBS. If your child must be in the same crew as a friend or sibling for their comfort, we will do our best to accommodate that request.

Q: I see that you are charging for VBS this year. How can I pay?

A: There are two ways you can pay for your VBS registration. 1. You may click the link to the payment site in the confirmation email you will receive after completing your online registration, and pay via debit or credit card. 2. You may pay with cash or check by visiting our church office located on the Southeast end of our campus located at 23262 El Toro Rd. Lake Forest, CA 92630

Q: I have a child that is entering 6th grade or older and wants to participate in VBS. Can they come too?

A: We encourage our youth in 6th grade and up to sign up for VBS as volunteers. Youth in 6th - 8th grade can sign up for any assistant position, and youth in high school can apply for any volunteer position.

Q: My child has severe food allergies. Will they be accommodated for snacks at VBS?

A: We do our best to accommodate special dietary needs for VBS snacks (gluten free, diary free, nut free, etc.) However, we cannot guarantee food safety for severe food allergies. If your child has very severe food allergies, we highly suggest bringing your own snack to VBS for your child. We will store it and serve it if you bring it to us each morning, or at the beginning of the week.

Q: My child has a learning disability, or a behavioral disability. Can they still participate?

A: We don't turn anyone away for VBS at Abiding Savior. We are happy to accommodate children of all abilities, however, we need to know ahead of time to make the proper accommodations. Please include this information in the comments section of your registration.

Q: I want to attend VBS with my child. Am I able to do this?

A: Yes, parents are welcome to attend as volunteers. If you would like to be with your child all day, please register to volunteer as a crew leader or assistant crew leader, and make a comment in your registration that you would like your child to be in your crew.

Q: We don't attend Abiding Savior church, or we are not Lutheran. Can we attend Abiding Savior's VBS?

A: Absolutely! We welcome kids and families of all denominations and backgrounds. As Lutherans, we believe that we are saved by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ, who gave himself as a sacrifice for us out of love. Your and your family are welcome to be our guests at any of our church services. Saturday, 5pm (band led) Sunday, 8am (organ led) and Sunday 10:15am (band led, Sunday School available after the Children's message)
