Picnic
We will have a family picnic on the last day of VBS. You can join us for hot dogs after you pick up your child on July 12th. We will distribute RSVP and donation sign-ups for the picnic throughout the week of VBS.
Pictures
We will take pictures of the children throughout the week. We will give each child a printed picture on the last day of VBS, and we will post pictures on our website so you can see all of the fun that the kids had throughout the week. If you prefer not to have your child photographed, please let the church know when you drop off your child on the first day.
T-Shirts
T-shirts will be given to the children on the first day. They are encouraged to wear them each day of VBS. Those registered by June 10th will be guaranteed a shirt. If you register after that, we will try our best to get you shirts in the correct sizes.
Sunday Worship
You've invited to worship with us the Sunday after VBS (and every Sunday, for that matter!) We will sing and dance to VBS songs during the service.
Themed Days
To add even more fun to our week, we will have themed days that your child can participate in if he or she would like:
- Tuesday - Crazy Sock Day
- Wednesday - Tie Dye or Camouflage Day
- Thursday - Crazy Hair Day
- Friday - Hat Day
Allergies
We can provide a list of each day's snacks if you have allergy concerns. We can also provide allergy-safe snacks throughout the week if needed. If you would like, you could pack your own snacks for the week. Please email Erin at eej6@aol.com if you have concerns about allergies/food.
Charity
The Bible teaches us to be good stewards. Each year at VBS, we provide an opportunity to practice stewardship. We provide an opportunity to donate small funds or supplies to a charity. More details on this year's charity will be forthcoming, including any supplies that we may be collecting.
The following information pertains to VBS (preschool - grade 4):
Games
We may play water games on warm days. If you're heading anywhere after VBS, you can bring a change of dry clothes for your possibly wet kids. (We will not have kids change clothes during VBS, but you can use our restrooms after you have picked up your child.)
Groups
Preschool children will be grouped together and will participate in age-appropriate activities. Children kindergarten through grade 4 will be grouped based on the number of registrants.
