WELCOME to Cross Lane Community Church TRUE NORTH! VBS.  During VBS, we will guide your kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS shows them that he is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

IMPORTANT INFORAMTION:

When registering, please select the grade your child is in as of Spring 2025 (current grade/age).

Please read the directions carefully to determine which of the two groups is best for your child:

  • PRESCHOLL is for ages 4-5 (note: 3-year olds who are currently attending preschool may be the exception - please contact me). Any preschooler attending must be potty-trained and able to separate from Mon/Dad.
  • ELEMENTARY VBS: for Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades, kids will be assigned to mixed age groups - they are not separated by grade.  (Any child using foul language or disrupting the program will be separated from their group and a parent will be notified upon pick-up.  If the issue continues on a second night, the parents will be called and asked to pick-up their child immediately.)
  • PLEASE NOTE there is a BIG difference between preschool VBS and ELEMENTARY VBS.  Preschoolers will all be grouped together and be in groups only with other preschoolers, their rotations are shorter time frames, and activities are simplified.  Preschool meets in the preschool hallway.  Children in grades K-5 will be put into mixed-age groups - they will not be separated according to grade.  Elementary VBS will begin each night in the Sanctuary, separated in rows by their group.

CHECK-IN & PICK-UP: Please check in at the registration table each night to help us keep your children safe.  We will not release your children to anyone that is not approved to pick them up, please don't send unapproved individuals to pick-up your children.

FEE:  There is no fee for your child to attend VBS at Cross Lane.  We hope you enjoy this ministry and will engage with your child at home on all the details and fun they are having each night.

CLOSING: On Thursday night, we welcome all family members to join their children for the closing at 7:30 and a fun picnic afterwards.  There will be food, bouncy houses, and fellowship.
