How should my child dress each day?

Wear play clothes that you won't mind getting dirty or wet.  Some of our games involve water, and other stations may use paint, markers, etc.

When does my child wear his/her t-shirt?

The only day that we request the kids wear their shirts is on Friday since we do a closing program that parents are invited to attend.  Other than that, they can wear it as often as they would like.

How do you handle allergies, particularly food allergies?

Group does a really good job of making their snacks as allergy free as possible.  We ask our volunteers, who have a separate snack area, not to bring in items containing nuts.  We also make sure that crew leaders and our snack area volunteers have a list of those children with allergies.  In the case of severe allergies (peanuts or other nuts), we try to provide the parents with a copy of the snacks prior to VBS so they can determine if they need to send in a snack from home on certain days.  Anyone with questions should feel free to contact the church office.

Is there a mission project this year?

Yes.

We will make "Birthday Bags" for the Green Cove Springs Food Pantry. We love this idea as just a little extra something to do locally!  We ask the families to do this as a family project by collecting cake mix, icing, candles, balloons, streamers and place them in a gift bag (other items could be tablecloths, cup cake papers, etc).  The bags can be brought in beginning on Tuesday through the end of the week. When someone comes into the food pantry for assistance, they will be provided with one of the bags if someone in their family has an upcoming birthday!
