When does this all take place?

  • Monday July 8th thru Friday July 12th
  • 5:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

How much extra time will I need to be there?

  • Volunteers are asked to be there a half-hour before and a half-hour after each session. (5-9 p.m.) All volunteers meet daily with VBS Director Alecia to prepare for the day ahead, and we ask that volunteers stay until each of their kids are picked up by an approved adult.

What if I can not commit to the entire week?

  • Please contact Alecia Gamble by email alecia@waypointinfo.org to discuss possible options.

Is training provided?

  • Training for our VBS volunteers is mandatory and will take place Monday June 17th @ 6 p.m. AND Sunday June 23rd @ 12:45 p.m. You are only required to be at one meeting so please pick the one that works best for you!

What if I am unavailable that week, but would still like to help?

  • There are tons of ways to be involved! From donating needed items, to helping us get decorations made, to helping with set-up/tear down. Fill out a volunteer form anyway so that we can get you plugged in.

What if I have a small child that is not old enough for VBS?

  • You are welcome to bring them and have them serve alongside of you.

Can I serve with my spouse or children?

  • Absolutely! Serving as a family can be a huge blessing to everyone involved. We will do our best to keep you together if you desire.

I have a child who is too old to attend VBS. Can they serve?

  • Yes! We appreciate all youth helpers as long as they are mature enough to stay focused, are teachable, and are willing to follow the instructions of the leader in their area.

Anything else?

  • We will be serving dinner EVERY night to our kids and helpers! This will hopefully relieve some of the stress of having VBS during dinner time.
  • You will get an awesome T-shirt that you get to wear each day of VBS!
  • We have some fun events and changes happening this year during VBS! More details to come!
