DVBC Rainforest Falls 2026

June 1, 2026 — June 5, 2026

Step through the mist into Rainforest Falls, overflowing with wild waterfalls, towering trees and colorful creatures.

Beneath a canopy of chattering birds and howling monkeys, at Rainforest Fall VBS kids will plunge into a life-long adventure, discovering the nature of God, and exploring what it means to be rooted in relationship with their creator, a safe place in life’s storms.


Thank you for wanting to volunteer at our VBS Rainforest Falls!

We offer volunteer opportunities for all ages of youth/adults that are entering into 6th grade or older. See the "Volunteer Roles" available below and on the Volunteer Registration page. Please note most roles have specific age requirements.

VOLUNTEER ROLES:
*Available only to Adults (18 yr+) -
Check in/Check out Support Team -This role will help get participants and volunteers checked in and checked out. Experience with KidCheck check in system preferred.

*Available only to Adults or Students entering 10th grade and older -
Elementary Crew Leader - lead a crew of 5 kids (ages going into 1st - 5th grade) through stations where the Station Leaders do the teaching.

VBS Special Needs Buddy - assist participants with special needs throughout the week of VBS

*Available only to Adults or Students entering 8th grade and older -
Elementary Crew Assistant - will be paired with an Elementary Crew Leader to lead a crew of 5 kids (ages going into 1st-5th grade) through stations.

*Available only to Adults or Students entering 7th grade and older -
Preschool Crew Leader - lead a crew of 4 kids that are at least 4 years old up to entering into kindergarten

*Available to all ages of Volunteers (entering 6th grade +)
Elementary Games Helper - aid the games leader in preparing and leading fun and noncompetitive activities. Our games rotation is outside on the lawn.

Floater - for our volunteers who are not available every day of VBS. You will be assigned to "fill the holes" for our daily needs.

Nursery Helper - will help take care of young kids whose parents are serving at VBS.

Preschool Crew Assistant - will be paired with a Preschool Crew leader to lead a crew of 4 kids that are at least 4 years old up to entering into kindergarten.

Station Leader Support Team - help in one of these stations: Craft and Play, Preschool Games, Bible Room, Sticky Scripture, and/or Imagination Station.


References are required for all volunteers.

Background checks are required for all volunteers age 18 or older.

We are not able to assign volunteer roles until our director has received and approves your registration and receives your background check (if applicable). Desert View will notify you if we do not have a current background check on file. Should you receive an email with this request, please return the request promptly.

There is a mandatory volunteer training night on Wednesday, May 27th, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. You will receive your volunteer t-shirt that we ask you to wear the week of VBS at the training meeting.
