Just what IS Virtual VBS?
Children in Kindergarten (entering) through 5th grade (leaving) are invited to join us on Zoom for an hour each day to be led in music, stories, and crafts, all while learning about Jesus and the love of God!
Parents/grandparents/caregivers will be invited the week before VBS to pick up a “VBS Packet” (one per child) outside the church with all of the resources your child will need. This packet will include:
A music CD
All Bible stories
Bible Memory Makers
Snack instructions
Craft supplies
Each day, children will all “gather” together in the main Zoom “room” for ten minutes of opening dialogue and music. Everyone will then be split into “breakout rooms” of up to 8 children and two volunteers for forty minutes. Our adult volunteers will lead their group of children via webcam in a fifteen minute Bible story, ten minute snack, and fifteen minute craft. Everyone will then gather together again for ten minutes of music and closing dialogue.
This abbreviated VBS format allows us to still experience together all that we love about Vacation Bible School at Fairmont while ensuring that we are staying safe and healthy in the early weeks of summer.
