1.  Who can participate in VBS?  Children who are age 4 - rising 5th graders can attend.  All children must be fully potty trained.

2.  How much does it cost to attend?  VBS is FREE.  If you would like to make a donation to help off-set the cost of our program, please make a check payable to Bakerstown United Methodist Church and write VBS on the memo line.  If you would like to donate items, we will also publish a wish list of items with our craft, game, and snack needs closer to the event.

3.  How will I receive important details and updates as the event approaches?  Please add BUMC's children's ministry director's e-mail to your contact list.  Katie Lowell's e-mail address is klowell@bakerstownumc.org.  Katie will be e-mailing important information in the weeks leading up to VBS.  When you register your child, please use an e-mail address that you check regularly.

4.  Should my child eat breakfast before attending VBS?  YES!  Children will be provided with a light snack each day.  However, snack time varies by age group.  Some children will eat as early as 9:30am, others will not eat until 11:15am.  Please make sure that your child eats breakfast so that they have energy to play, dance, listen, and learn!

5.  What does my child need to bring to VBS?  Your child should bring a water bottle labeled with his or her first and last name.  Additionally, your child should wear sunscreen each day as we will be spending time outside of the church if weather permits.  Please check the website for the theme of the day.

6.  My child has allergies, asthma or another health condition of which VBS staff needs to be aware.  What should I do?  Please indicate your child's medical concerns on the registration form so that we may plan accordingly.  Please leave your child's rescue medication with his or her group leader each day.

7.  I would like to volunteer!  How do I do this?  Thank you!  We rely on volunteers to make this program possible!  Please indicate your interest using the volunteer registration form on this website.  Volunteers must have current child abuse clearances on file in the church office.  Please contact Katie Lowell (klowell@bakerstownumc.org) if you have any questions or need help obtaining clearances.
